This series documents a survey conducted of underrepresented minority graduates and matriculates of the Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine Classes of 1969-1998 that was planned in honor of the thirtieth anniversary of affirmative action at Harvard Medical School. Records include completed surveys and a dissertation based on the survey.

The Harvard Dental School was founded in 1867 by the Harvard Corporation. Early deans of the school were Nathan Cooley Keep (1868-1872), Thomas Barnes Hitchcock (1872-1874), Thomas H.
